
Gateway, Inc. today unveiled the P-6301 and P-6822 17-inch entertainment notebook PCs, which will be sold through retail stores this holiday season. According to the press release, the P-6301 and P-6822 have wireless LAN connection, three USB ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader, while the P-6822 additionaly incorporates an HDMI connector, and an 1.3-megapixel web camera. Gateway's P-Series meets the budget and performance needs of a wide range of consumers thanks to 17-inch widescreen Ultrabright displays, Intel Pentium Dual Core and Centrino Duo processors, integrated graphics, a gigabyte of memory, and plenty of hard drive storage space.

These P-Series multimedia laptops weigh 8.34 pounds with a standard six-cell battery and come with Windows Vista Home Premium preinstalled. The Gateway P-6301 and Gateway P-6822 are expected to become available through major retailers on October 14th. The multi-format, dual-layer drive offers plenty of room for storing a large library of digital music, movies and documents of all types. Accompanying LabelFlash technology enables users to laser-burn personalized images directly on CD and DVD discs to create unique, scratch-resistant labels to help organize personal movies and music.
