Fujitsu announced today the U.S. availability of the LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC, which features a 12.1-inch display, Intel’s “Santa Rosa” platform, the Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage processor, and a claimed battery life of up to nine hours. The Stylistic model is a pure slate Tablet PC, and weighs a light 3.5lbs, while the LifeBook T4220 is a notebook convertible that weighs 4.3lbs. Fujitsu wanted to introduce a lighter convertible style Tablet PC, and so here they are with the LifeBook T2010. The T2010 leaves out such things as an optical drive to keep weight down, and uses an Intel ULV processor to allow for a slimmer overall design.

Samsung Q1 Ultra Improved ultra-mobile

Samsung Electronics unveiled its second-generation UMPC (ultra-mobile personal computer) on Thursday. While the Samsung Q1 Ultra was the surprise hit (and announcement?) of CeBIT 2007 the company itself remained cagey about an actual release date, but now we've got one. The company announced that it will follow up on the Q1 UMPC that it released last May with the second-generation Q1 Ultra this May. The new Samsung Q1 Ultra with QWERTY key pad is 50% more power efficient when compared with the previous Q1 UMPC.
