HP Compaq nx6325 with AMD Turion 64 X2 Laptop Review HP announced a new addition to its business line of notebooks, the HP Compaq nx6325 15-inch screen notebook. Last month HP announced a slew of new business notebooks powered by the Intel Core Duo processor, but this latest nx6325 release is powered by the new AMD Turion X2 dual core 64-bit processor. It doesn’t take a technology expert to realize that Intel processors dominate the laptop market and AMD is playing catchup. This impression may change with the Compaq nx6325 ($1,249 direct, as tested), the first business notebook to arrive at my bench running the new 1.6-GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 CPU. Though its clock speed may not conjure up images of bleeding-edge performance, this system can hang right in there with the similarly configured 1.67-GHz Intel Core Duo T2300 notebooks I’ve tested recently. HP offers many choices, including notebooks powered by AMD processors. The HP Compaq nx6325 is a full-size, full-featured notebook made more affordable by using AMD's 64-bit dual-core processor technology. Powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor, the nx6325 is ready to rip through today's 32-bit applications as well as tomorrow's 64-bit applications.
