HP Compaq nc2400 Ultraportable Laptop Review

Total Score

“HP Compaq nc2400 Notebook PC” the Japanese Hewlett Packard (HP) is 12.1 type liquid crystal loading notes for the business which is announced on June 8th 2006. For business e.g., it withstands the drip-proof mechanism of the keyboard and the load of 500kgf, it is the product which appealed the strong characteristic which seems. Because this time, the opportunity which tries this product was obtained, we would like to keep introducing here. Though it weighs less than 4 pounds, it has a larger display than most other 4-pound models, as well as a comfortable keyboard and an optical drive. Best of all, the nc2400, with a starting price of $1,599, costs less than competitive models, such as the $1,649 Fujitsu LifeBook P7120 and the $1,799 ThinkPad X60s. At such a low price, the system won't give you the latest dual-core processors or a lot of high-end features, but you will get solid mobile performance and enough battery life to keep you productive on the road.

HP Compaq nc2400 Ultraportable Laptop ReviewRelease of the product which seriously considered the strong characteristic of the body here several years, for business at the time of noting is sequential. At the domestic manufacturer Toshiba and the Matsushita Electric Co. etc have been conspicuous, but “HP Compaq nc2400 Notebook PC” of Japan HP, directing to such segment, it is the product which release is done.

Main specification and price of shop front model, in CPU Core Solo U1400 (1.2GHz), HDD 40GB and the 1,280×800 dot (WXGA) the indicatory corresponding 12.1 type liquid crystal, Intel 945GM Express (video functional built-in), memory 1GB (maximum 2GB) and the like load in chip set, price has reached from $1500. Besides the fact that the magnesium alloy which is superior in strength is used to that substance body and the top board and under and the like palm rest, palm rest itself, has prevented the fact that the damage is done by the fact that GE  corporation make  that is used is used even with bulletproof use.

HP Pavilion dv8000z  Laptop Review

Total Score

The HP Pavilion dv8000z is certainly plus-sized -- roughly 12 by 16 by 2 inches and a ponderous 8.2 pounds (10.2 with its bulky AC adapter), too much for many laptop bags and unwieldy to pick up one-handed. It's also a well-equipped Windows XP Media Center Edition system complete with TV tuner and personal video recorder, plus perhaps the best notebook screen we've ever seen. The HP Pavilion dv8000z notebook rivals a desktop PC for storage and entertainment while saving room. The unit has a gorgeous 17-inch WXGA+ screen, superb sound (thanks to built-in Altec Lansing speakers), and a full-size keyboard with dedicated numerical keypad.

HP Pavilion dv8000z Laptop Review desktop replacement, 17-inch widescreen notebookAs with other HP- and Compaq-brand laptops, the Z suffix indicates AMD rather than Intel inside. Our review unit had a Turion 64 ML-40 -- 2.2GHz with 1MB of Level 2 cache -- processor, the second fastest available (the 2.6GHz ML-46 is a $175 option). At this writing, the dz8000z can't match the dual-core multitasking muscle of its slightly higher-priced sibling, the Intel Core Duo-based Pavilion DV8000T. However, we wouldn't be surprised to see AMD's new Turion 64 X2 processor appear in HP's lineup before long.

We think a dual-core CPU is swiftly becoming the smart choice for notebooks as well as desktops, but the Pavilion's single-core Turion 64 provides more than adequate performance, with benchmark scores in the ballpark of the fastest Pentium M portables -- or, speaking of 2.2GHz AMD chips, our old Athlon 64 3500+ desktop. It managed a BAPCo SysMark 2004 score of 150 (Internet Content Creation 186, Office Productivity 121), with a PCMark05 rating of 2,129 (CPU 3,109; memory 2,573; hard disk 4,625; graphics 994).

QuickPlay buttons located above the keyboard provide one-touch access to DVD movies, music, videos, and photos without starting Windows. HP's
