Working on a notebook computer in public leverages the portable computer's value, makes constructive use of time you spend passively waiting to travel and traveling, and reduces or eliminates boredom. But chances are you'd prefer what's on that 15.4-inch LCD screen to be "For Your Eyes Only," to borrow an espionage phrase. That's where 3M Privacy Filters come in! Other vendors wanted nearly twice as much for the product. It works well for people who travel. However, 3M should consider pricing this more reasonabally. It is just a film you put over your screen, which at $45 to $90 is pricy. I do wish the product came with more adhesive things that hold it on the screen. Sometime it is necessary to switch laptops. You can almost completely stop those peeping toms with this filter. While it is not 100% effective, it does block or blur most of the view from people who are not directly behind you. You can kind of see the double sided tape squares you place in each corner to keep it affixed to your monitor but it isn't obvious enough to be annoying or distracting. If your monitor is directly opposite your door, yes, everyone passing by will be able to see what you do. Since my computer is set up at an angle to my office entrance, it works perfectly. Fits well on my screen, attaches easily, and offers me & my data privacy, all at a very nice price

If you are taking a lot of classes with a lot of books, the compartments are very spacious and can hold a lot. Unlike most reviewers here I find it very comfortable when full, and not heavy at all once you are used to a little extra weight. The only real drawback to the backpack is it's rather large. When I have the backpack fully loaded it looks somewhat reminiscent of a stuffed hiking backpack. In addition, due to its ample storage capabilities, it is rather easy to pack quite a heavy load if you're not careful. However, the padded shoulder straps appear to be firmly attached and designed in such a way to disperse the load evenly across your shoulders to minimize fatigue. |
